We were really excited to meet with Gill to talk about the next chapter of our One Page Profile work. We have had a lot of new staff this year so need to make sure that all of our staff are aware of the importance of 1PP. Our deputy head has worked with all our new staff to introduce them to 1PP and they have all now produced one for themselves.  Nic and I are looking forward to our next stage of the journey to make sure that 1PP are an integral part our provision for our children. As a school Mr Griffin had already developed a set of lesson plans for Year 6 so at our meeting with Gill we decided that each year group had to have a pack including a set of lesson plans and resources on introducing or updating the 1PP.

At the moment we are working together to develop these plans. In foundation we want our 1PP to be introduced through our home visits with a ‘chatterbox’ this would contain lots of information about the child which they could create with their parents and then share with their peers. In Year 1 and 2 we are thinking about children completing profiles using cutting and sticking a range of pictures linked to their school day. This would develop throughout the years with children completing more written comments when they learn more about themselves and the way they learn. As we move up the school we want to make sure that the children are amending and adding to their profiles and not just completing the same tasks year on year. We are hoping to build on the work we already complete in school on my amazing brain and learning styles. This will be reflected in our lesson plans. In Year 6 we want to make our 1PP part of the children’s transition to high school.

Very excited about our next chapter.
